E.H. Wachs
Pipe Cutting & BevellingFlange FacingValve MaintenanceUtility Solutions
Founded in 1883 and part of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), E.H. Wachs manufactures portable equipment for machining pipes and maintaining valves directly at the worksite. Its solutions serve oil and gas, refineries, power plants, water utilities, and industrial facilities.
Pure Land represents E.H. Wachs in Iraq, supporting customers with equipment selection, supply, technical consultation, training, tooling, spare parts, and after-sales service.
Industrial Pipe Machining
Wachs equipment enables cutting, bevelling, and surface restoration on piping and large components without transporting them to a workshop. This makes it particularly useful during pipeline tie-ins, shutdowns, repairs, construction, and maintenance.
Split-Frame Pipe Cutting & Bevelling
Split-frame machines open into two halves and mount around an existing pipe. With the appropriate tooling, they perform cold cutting, weld-end preparation, counterboring, and selected flange-machining operations.
The range includes:
- SDSF: compact machines for small-diameter pipes and tubing.
- DynaPrep™ MDSF: modular machines for a broad range of pipe sizes and machining tasks.
- LDSF: heavy-duty machines for large-diameter pipes, vessels, valves, and heat exchangers.
Across these families, Wachs offers equipment covering nominal outside diameters from ½ inch to 120 inches, depending on the model and configuration.
Trav-L-Cutter® SD
This chain-mounted machine travels around the pipe while cutting and bevelling, producing an end prepared for welding. Available in pneumatic and hydraulic versions, it covers 6–72-inch outside diameters, with additional chain sections required for larger sizes.
Guillotine® Pipe Saws
Rugged reciprocating saws provide a portable solution for severing pipe. Multiple models allow the equipment to be matched to the pipe diameter and cutting duty.
Pipe-End Preparation & Flange Facing
Wachs offers dedicated pipe bevellers and portable flange-facing equipment for preparing weld ends and resurfacing flange sealing faces. Application-specific tooling also supports counterboring, socket-weld removal, and weld-crown removal.
Casing & Wellhead Equipment
External and internal/external casing cutters extend the range to specialized wellhead and casing work, with equipment selected around component dimensions, access, and the required operation.

Utility Maintenance Solutions
Wachs Utility Products combines powered valve operation, vacuum excavation, pipe cutting, and maintenance accessories for water-distribution and treatment networks.
Mobile Valve-Maintenance Systems
Trailers, skids, and service-truck configurations bring valve-maintenance equipment to the point of work. Customers can select a layout suited to their fleet, access conditions, and daily maintenance requirements.
Powered Valve Operators
Mounted systems such as the ERV-750 and TM-7 Plus, alongside handheld P-2 and RS-2 operators, reduce the manual effort involved in valve operation. The appropriate operator and adapters are selected for the valve type and operating requirements.
VITALS® Valve-Management Technology
VITALS® supports valve-operation data collection and organized maintenance records. It helps utilities document field work and review valve performance as part of a structured maintenance programme.
Vacuum & Hydro-Excavation
Trav-L-Vac® and Hydro-Vac trailers and skids support valve-box cleaning and controlled access to buried utilities. These systems help maintenance teams remove surrounding material and reach underground assets.
Supporting equipment includes pipe saws, hydraulic power units, dewatering and trash pumps, valve keys, and maintenance accessories.
